Kennards Hire has boosted its fleet of large, silenced generators with the purchase of twenty new 20KVA units, mounted on purpose-built trailers.
Advances in technology have produced this new breed of mobile generator, which has twice the output and half the size of predecessors, and is small enough to be towed by a large family sedan.
The 20KVA units are designed for large building sites where power is unavailable or for industrial and commercial situations in the event of blackouts or other interruptions to mains power.
The 20KVA mobile generators are also suitable for major outdoor entertainment events.
The new generator, which is easily removed from the trailer if required, has three 15amp single phase outlets, one 32amp three phase outlet and one 20amp three phase outlet.
20KVA mobile generator also has a large 57 amp outlet which is used to connect a distribution board when more outlets are required.
If more power outlets are needed, distribution boards can be piggy backed or cascaded, using heavy duty cables.
Each distribution board has twelve 15amp single phase outlets, two 32amp three phase outlets and one 20amp three phase outlet.
There is also a facility for a lighting circuit, which is mainly used in heavy commercial and mining sectors.
All outlets in all configurations are RCD protected. Distribution boards can also be hired separately.
