A Dieci telehandler from Kennards Lift and Shift has been hired for work on a new luxury townhouse complex. Soz Developments are building 28 three and four bedroom townhouses around a large courtyard near the beach at Sans Souci in the south of Sydney. The project is due for completion in April 2009.

According to Andrew Soz, the machine from Kennards Lift and Shift is used to lift bricks, timber, sand and other materials for various trades, including bricklayers, carpenters, roofers and gyprockers. The Dieci telehandler is suitable because it can get into tight spaces, where a bigger telehandler would not fit in.

Kennards Lift and Shift’s telehandlers are 1800mm wide and 1910mm high. They extend to 3.25m with a lifting height of 5.78m and lifting capacity of 2500kg. The three modes of steering add flexibility to these vehicles, which are fully air-conditioned.

The telehandlers also have a specially designed load management system for increased safety, and a bucket or crane jib that can be fitted for difficult material handling projects. No special operating certificate is required to use these machines. Kennards Lift and Shift have hire centres in Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
