'It’s easier to build a skyscraper than a good chair,'  -  Mies van der Rohe.

Ergonomics, structure, form, everything must be in harmony – without too many possibilities for hiding the extraneous (as you might have with a building).

Every new chair project is a challenge for a designer and Nico Smeenk’s brief from Indecasa was to create a stackable chair for outdoor use, a contemporary, classic yet relatively inexpensive chair.

The result was Oyyo, the name, a symbol for its design: aesthetic, the two holes and structural, the four legs. Oyyo chair is a elegant and versatile stacking armchair, which features a rather innovative solution for the assembly of the legs and is fashioned from a single polypropylene and fibreglass shell making it appropriate for outdoor use.

Indecasa Oyyo stacking chairs are stackable up to four units and available in a selection of colours and finishes. Oyyo is on display at the Ke-Zu showroom.
