Provider of design software, KarelCAD , has signed to lease more than 1000sqm in Mt Gravatt’s hi-tech hub in a deal negotiated by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Christian Sandstrom.

In a three year deal, KarelCAD has leased the whole of 62 Brandl Street at Eight Mile Plains which covers 1,084sqm.

Commencing on the 1 September the lease will include 23 on-site car spaces.

Sandstrom commented “KarelCAD is the largest provider of Autodesk design software in Australia. They were previously located at Logan Road Upper in Mt Gravatt and have relocated to Brandl Street due to expansion of their business. It is a move which sees the area again takes the title of hi-tech hub, following the State Government's investment in this region some years ago – to attract tenants exactly the calibre of KarelCAD.”

Mr Paul Laycock, KarelCAD’s CEO, said “KarelCAD chose BTP for a couple reasons, consolidation of Head Office into 1 building was our primary focus and this building offers everything we needed for our clients and staff and the location of the office – with access to all major roads within a 3 minute drive as well as access to public transport is a major gain for accessibility for our trainees as well as staff. The environment and area is ideal for any corporate company looking for growth, we couldn’t have chosen a better area for our business.”

Mr Laycock went on to say that the location ensured that KarelCAD would attract high calibre people to the business, to better service clients in all aspects of their business. “The additional space and ability to set up over 250 sq mtrs as a Customer Briefing and Training Centre which has lead us to expanding with a new Hardware Division focused on providing HP Hardware Australia wide.

We are truly pleased with our decision and look forward to great growth in the years to come.” He said.
