AVCorp are impressed by their latest PA acquisition, the JBL VRX932LAP line array system and have provided a clear endorsement to the product on their website.

The JBL VRX932LAP system, available from Jands , is a compact, clean line array system that delivers crystal clear sound all the way to the back. It rigs quickly, looks smart and sounds great. Running at half power on outdoor gigs, high frequencies start to drop off at a distance of about 45m.

Before purchasing their six VRX932LAP powered boxes plus VRX918SP subs, Michael Papas, AVCorp, was impressed with the performance of the VRX system at an outdoor show in Europe. The JBL VRX932LAP system was first used by AVCorp on a Christmas carol event complete with a choir and electric band. The performance of the system resulted in repeated booking on the spot because it was the first time ever they could hear the voices right down to the back of the outdoor audience area.

The following day, Michael’s JBL VRX system went to an outdoor festival gig which had a power problem due to a faulty generator blowing up the PA, band gear and stallholders’ equipment. Everything in Michael’s system blew up except for the JBL VRX speakers and the fold back amps.

AVCorp were still able to do the show by putting in a replacement mixer running direct to the speakers without any signal processing equipment and nobody knew the difference. On top of that, the headlining band came and thanked AVCorp for a brilliant sound.

The system has done five gigs in the last eight days culminating with a private function with Richard Clapton. According to Michael, the versatility of the VRX system is an important factor for a company that caters to a wide variety of production work. The VRX system allows customers to set up the PA to suit the room and it works – every time.
