IronPlanet  has expanded its presence in Australia by significantly increasing its sales force and base of operations.

Graeme McPherson, IronPlanet Australia's managing director and his expanded team of territory managers will be responsible for further developing IronPlanet's Australian customer base.

McPherson and his sales team will continue to accelerate IronPlanet's growth in Australia, building on a strong base of dealer, contractors and hire company relationships, following from the successes of their first two local auctions held in February and March this year.

“The appointment of the territory managers marks a significant milestone for IronPlanet in Australia, particularly considering IronPlanet’s continued development at a global level,” said McPherson.

“The new managers will provide customers across Australia with the same value and trust that our global customers have come to expect from IronPlanet: faster time to market through more frequent auctions, better price realisations, the industry's lowest selling costs and guaranteed equipment inspection reports,” said McPherson.

New territory managers

McPherson has appointed Stuart Parry as the territory manager for Victoria. Parry has extensive experience in the heavy equipment, transport and machinery industry, and his background in sales of both new and used equipment will be of tremendous benefit to the local marketplace.

Ian Stevenson joins IronPlanet as the territory manager for Western Australia. His 15-year background in the construction and mining sectors have provided him with an excellent network, through which he plans to continue build on IronPlanet’s success in WA.

In New South Wales, Jon Crosskill brings 38 years of experience in the construction and mining equipment industry. Crosskill has worked with a number of major equipment brands, and his understanding of both the machinery and the marketplace will be a valuable asset for both buyers and sellers.

IronPlanet’s customers in Queensland and the Northern Territory will be serviced by Chas Rae, who joins IronPlanet as territory manager for these regions. Chas Rae has industry expertise for 40 years in the earthmoving and construction industry in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
