The Safety Show Sydney will open at the Sydney Showground in September this year.

To be held over three days from 3 September to 5 September, The Safety Show Sydney will provide an ideal platform for businesses to network with industry experts as well as gain access to cutting-edge knowledge on the latest safety technology and resources being showcased by over 150 exhibitors. Free seminars from industry experts will also feature in the 2013 edition of The Safety Show Sydney.

Sam Palermo, Exhibition Manager from Informa Exhibitions Australia explains that the range of seminar sessions and workshops will provide extra added value to visitors at The Safety Show Sydney. WorkCover NSW’s exhibit and interactive workshops will be a major highlight of the safety exhibition. This will be WorkCover NSW’s eleventh consecutive show as an exhibitor, marking their commitment to the event and the safety of Australia’s workers.

Free seminars centred on key industries will also take place at the show allowing attendees to learn directly from leaders and experts in various safety-related fields. The seminars will cover a wide range of topics including technology’s impact on the way onsite safety processes are conducted, emergency planning, contractor management, OHS program planning and funding, personal protective equipment industry updates and an overview of the latest legislation that will affect companies.

The speakers’ list includes Carl Sachs, Managing Director at Workplace Access & Safety, Adrienne Strachan, Senior Consultant at NSCA: National Safety Council Australia, Richard Gregory, Managing Director, Navace and Richard Donarski, Team Leader – Health & Safety Product Services at SAI Global – Assurance Services, with more to be announced over the coming weeks.

Also taking place alongside The Safety Show Sydney, The Advanced Logistics and Materials Handling Show will cover supply chain specialist information on the packing, moving, storing, tracking and delivering industries.

Exhibits at The Safety Show Sydney include bin tippers by Wrightway Products, watertight seal safety caps by Zap Cap, electrical safety solutions including test and calibration equipment by Zedflo and Test & Tag Supplies and industrial concrete coating system by Advacoat among others.

Starting from 2014, all shows across Australia will be known as Safety In Action with one major three-day show running in September each year, alternating between Sydney and Melbourne following the successful model of the Queensland and WA shows. Shows in Perth and Brisbane will be held in June and April across alternating years. The newly added 2-day show in Darwin, set to commence in March 2014, is planned to be held every four years.
