The upcoming Safe Cities Conference taking place in Brisbane next month will feature a presentation by Dr Geoff Dean on the very topical subject of extremism. Dr Dean is the Director of International Programs for Policing, Security & Terrorism Studies, Griffith Criminology Institute (GCI), Griffith University.
Considered a security expert by the international media, Dr Dean was recently consulted for a viewpoint on the Manchester bombing. He will deliver his insights into the duality of extremism at the Safe Cities Conference on 12th July at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Brisbane.
Dr Dean’s presentation on the 'Duality of Extremism Risk: Detecting and Preventing ‘Individuals’-in-‘Contexts’ from doing Harm' will be delivered at the Safe Cities Conference in addition to 23 presentations from global leaders in community safety, resilience, preventative crime, social and humanitarian investment and digital intelligence.
