Professor Laurie Buys will be one of nine keynote speakers presenting at the upcoming 10th Making Cities Liveable Conference in Brisbane.
As the Theme Leader of Queensland University of Technology’s (QUT) Institute for Future Environment’s Infrastructure for Sustainable Communities Theme, Professor Laurie Buys is involved in research that directly explores the understanding of, and accountability for, the real effects experienced by people resulting from changes in their physical, social and cultural life.
Titled 'Liveable Neighbourhoods: What does that really mean?', Laurie's 30-minute presentation will explore the challenges of sustainable communities and examine the three components of liveability: people, places and pursuits.
