Hyne Community Trust is calling for applications from Tumbarumba based community groups to avail of grants that would fund their projects. The Hyne trust has been supporting community projects since 2007 with over $500,000 disbursed to date. Projects with a minimum value of $10,000 will be considered for the grant.

Applications for the grant can be submitted to the Hyne Community Trust until the end of June.

Trust chairman Dale McLachlan explains that the grants support larger projects that have a lasting impact on the Tumbarumba region. Among the beneficiaries are recipients such as the Equine Club that has received approximately $80,000 in Trust funds. The grants were used to build an amenities block and significantly improve the facilities to attract more attendees, participants and users to the Tumbarumba Racecourse Reserve.

McLachlan requested all potential applicants to read the guidelines carefully, especially the ‘minimum $10,000 value’ eligibility condition.

Community groups considering applying for a Hyne Community Trust grant this month should first review the guidelines and consider how their application will provide long lasting benefits to the community.
