The Housing Industry Association (HIA) congratulates the latest winners
of the scholarship program offered in conjunction with partners JELD-WEN Australia
and STRATCO. HIA is the voice of Australia’s residential building industry.
The Build Your Future program provides assistance to help offset the
cost of training fees for young builders undertaking nationally recognised
training courses.
According to HIA Chief Executive - Industry Policy and Media, Graham
Wolfe, the Build Your Future program is an important initiative that gives
access to training opportunities to deserving young people, especially at a
time when the industry is already under pressure on the availability of skills
due to historically high levels of activity, combined with an aging workforce.

Mark Dellar, Brett Hughes, Sean Maher and Cory Quinn (South Australia); Arie
Seaton and Harrison Wilkes (Western Australia); Garth Hobba (Queensland); Riley
Tomlin (Hunter); Brenden Westcott and Isaac Jackson-Hope (Australian Capital
Territory); and Marcus Edwards and Nicholas Zaharakis (Victoria).
Applications for the next round of Build Your Future Scholarships close
30 April 2015. To be eligible, nominees must be engaged in the building
industry as an apprentice, employee or contractor, and aged up to 25 years.
