Sydney-based builders Hall & Hart Homes chose Hebel products for a new residential development located at HomeWorld Box Hill in Sydney.

Well known for their gorgeous, customisable homes designed to perfectly complement their clients’ lifestyles, Hall & Hart ensures the use of the very best products and finishes to create affordable luxury. Their new Ascot Home exudes both elegance and warmth, with the crisp white double-storeyed French Provincial façade opening into palatial yet functional living areas.

Designed by leading architectural practice DKO Architects, the Ascot carries a minimalist vibe with its stylish lines while still creating a warm, comfortable family living environment. The high atrium, which projects both space and luxury, is one of the most outstanding features when entering the home. The natural flow through the key living areas and to the outdoor area represents a simple and seamless transition, making it perfect for the Australian family lifestyle.

Beautiful aesthetic

A high-quality build needs high-quality materials throughout the space. Hebel AAC (aerated autoclaved concrete) was specified for the floors and the exterior cladding of the Ascot.

Hall & Hart’s construction manager Michael Goodall commented: “We needed an exceptional material, which would help us execute a home that’s both elegant and incredibly comfortable. Hebel fits that brief and more. The Ascot is beautiful but – more importantly – beautiful to live in.”

The use of Hebel cladding created a stunning finish for the Ascot’s exterior, with clients able to customise the texture and look to their personal preferences.

Excellent acoustics key to happy family living

With several areas for privacy, it was important to give due consideration to acoustics in the design as well as the specified materiality to enable peaceful cohabitation.

“As the Ascot is double-storeyed, the Hebel PowerFloor is essential in creating soundproofing between the upstairs bedrooms and study areas, and the kitchen and living downstairs,” says Goodall.

The steel reinforced PowerFloor is strong and solid, with the feel of a concrete slab. It creates a sound barrier without the high price tag, making it perfect for busy, growing families.

All-season indoor comfort

Hall & Hart choose products that create a comfortable environment all-year round.

“The PowerFloor and external cladding insulate the Ascot so that it is warm in winter and cool in summer. It creates greater comfort, as well as an energy-efficient lifestyle,” Goodall explained.

Hebel is also incredibly efficient to install during the build.

“It’s very fast to install compared to brick builds, shortening construction time considerably.”

Safe haven

Bushfire presents a real threat to homes in Australia – even habitats in urban environments. Fire resistance is also, therefore, an important requirement when specifying the materials palette for a development.

Being fire resistant with a BAL-FZ rating, Hebel is a great choice for building in high bushfire danger zones. The eco-friendly material is strong and robust, creating a beautiful haven for families.
