Havwoods Ascot Herringbone timber flooring is featured extensively in the renovation of a beautiful period home in Middle Park, Victoria.

Designed by Jayden Zernich of Zerni Projects, this suburban Melbourne home is a monochromatic wonder with the designer using the ‘less is more’ approach to breathe new life into the project. Havwoods’ Ascot Herringbone timber flooring was specified for the home to bring some character and richness into the contemporary design.

To turn this period home into a contemporary, light-filled space, natural light has been injected into the interiors. An arched steel door provides a stylish and bold transition from heritage to contemporary.

Ascot Herringbone engineered timber flooring from the Design From Havwoods range provided a luxe foundation to the design, adding character and richness and creating juxtaposition between the clean lines of the home, joinery and steel framed windows.

“Ascot Herringbone lifted the home with a sense of character. With our overall aesthetic being a less is more approach, we found the flooring assisted in giving depth into the varied spaces,” Jayden Zernich said.
