Lucas Lau of Lax Studios chose the Oak Pallido herringbone flooring from the Havwoods Italian Collection for a luxurious Melbourne penthouse apartment to bring all the spaces together harmoniously.
The owners of this Melbourne apartment desired a space that delivered penthouse living and also functioned as an occasional guesthouse. Lau was approached to create and execute a concept that would navigate the challenges of heritage facades and neighbouring apartments and yet deliver a modern, stylish penthouse.
Approaching the penthouse interior design project as a large blank canvas, Lau sought to create distinctive spaces that would work coherently and come together in a unifying way. The selection of a floor covering was, therefore, pivotal to the project.
