Melbourne-based Fenix Fitness recently installed Grip Guard AquaSafe non-slip tapes in change rooms at their facility to improve member and guest safety. As the area is used by school children attending swim lessons, it is essential that floor surfaces are slip resistant.
Water tracked from the pool and showers into the change rooms was creating a slip and fall hazard. Transparent AquaSafe non-slip tapes were chosen to provide a visually attractive non-slip solution in the change rooms and were installed in a checkerboard pattern for aesthetic purposes.
After installation, the management has made the decision to also have AquaSafe non-slip tapes installed in the showers and toilets. AquaSafe non-slip tapes are unaffected by water and can be used in ‘barefoot’ areas because they are non-abrasive.
