Clever use of colour and pattern ensured that the carpet tiles selected for the Coffs Harbour office of the Bananacoast Community Credit Union (BCU) addressed the unique needs of the high traffic workspace.

Formed in the early 1970s by a small group of business owners, predominately banana farmers on the NSW Coast to provide a local, realistic banking alternative to the big banks, BCU now spans from Port Macquarie to the Sunshine Coast.

Australian made carpet tiles from Godfrey Hirst Australia were selected for the flooring during the refurbishment of BCU’s Coffs Harbour office. Given the high traffic nature of the workspace, the choice of colour and pattern was particularly important for the carpet floor to retain its appearance over the long term. Carpet planks from the Enigma range were chosen for this fitout due to their blended pattern and organic overlay that provided a textured depth and definition to the floorscape, working well to hide spills and stains. The installation was executed by Andersens Coffs Harbour.

Godfrey Hirst’s carpet tiles were chosen in the colour 7500 Theseus to create a contrast between the office’s crisp white walls and sleek, clean furnishings. Both the pattern and colour selected for the office fitout met the brief for a striking visual aesthetic as well as practicality and durability. The Enigma range comes with a Contract Extra Heavy Duty & Stairs rating as well as a 15-year commercial guarantee.

BCU is satisfied with the outcome and is considering having Godfrey Hirst as their chosen supplier for all their branches throughout the north coast.
