Recycled carpet tiles from the GH Commercial Loop program were given a new lease of life at the Cockatoo Rise Museum for war veterans in Victoria’s Western District. The museum showcases a collection of war memorabilia from WW1 to present day conflicts.

Located in Sarsfield in the Gippsland Lakes area, the museum is part of the Cockatoo Rise War Veterans Retreat housed in a historic hotel built in 1856, the 3rd oldest in Victoria. The retreat offers onsite accommodation for veterans and their partners as well as homeless veterans who need a place to get back on their feet.

GH Commercial donated a variety of carpet tiles from the Loop program for an array of spaces within the retreat.

As part of our Believe in Better ethos, we are actively seeking environmentally responsible ways to recycle our carpet tiles. In the GH Commercial Loop program, previously used carpet tiles are collected and repurposed to ensure the carpet tiles don’t end up in landfill.

We couldn’t be happier to give these recycled carpet tiles a new home where the local community can benefit from this inspiring new space.
