Godfrey Hirst Australia created a custom carpet tile design for the refurbishment of a gold mining company’s office in Subiaco, Western Australia.

The Western Australian branch of Newmont Mining, an established American gold mining company, had been working out of the same office in Subiaco for over 12 years. Newmont sought to invigorate their aging workplace interiors and make an impressive style statement for visitors and staff.

Designed by Juo, the office refurbishment features carpet tiles as well as luxury vinyl planks from Godfrey Hirst.

The custom carpet tiles installed throughout the workspace and executive offices are inspired by Godfrey Hirst’s Designer Jet carpet tile pattern ‘Gecko’, with a bespoke colour palette featuring a gold weave and organic overlay. A nod to Newmont’s heritage, this gold accent provides a subtle and stylised reference to the gold mining history of the company. The beautiful depth and texture of the carpet are matched only by its extremely hardwearing characteristics for these high-use areas.

Godfrey Hirst’s Vega luxury vinyl planks in Silver Bell were used throughout the kitchen area. The robust construction of the vinyl planks combined with a beautiful timber look makes Vega the perfect commercial flooring option. Vega features a UV coated hardwearing surface with high impact resistance and a core layer that makes the floor stable and durable.

The planks were installed in the classic herringbone pattern, and worked seamlessly with the Gecko custom carpet tiles to elevate the designer look of the space.

Godfrey Hirst’s Designer Jet technology offers a fast and efficient way to make colour changes to an existing design or create a completely bespoke design.
