In just a two year period, Form and Function , an Australian trade event for the building and architecture industry, has won the ‘Best Visitor Promotional Campaign for a Trade Show’ at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) ‘Awards for Excellence’ 2006.
The win was part of a trifecta for show organisers, dmg world media, which also won ‘Best Consumer Event (+10,000 square metres)’ for the Sydney Home Show 2006 and ‘Best Visitor Promotional Campaign for a Consumer Event’ for the Adelaide Home Show 2006.
The EEAA is the definitive association for the exhibition and event industry professional in Australia. The awards are judged by industry experts and recognise the industry’s ‘best of the best’.
“We are thrilled that Form & Function has received this accolade from the exhibitions and events industry,” said Danielle Fischer, Group Show Manager for Form & Function. “It is testimony to the event’s innovation, strength and rapid acceptance by the building and events industry at large.
“We look forward to building on Form & Function’s phenomenal success when the event returns to Melbourne next year between the 19 – 21 April,” Fischer said.
In addition to an already successful show format, participants at next year’s Form & Function will benefit from the redemption of three Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points credited towards professional development (for building professionals) and the highly regarded New Products Awards which recognises the most exciting and innovative products at the exhibition.
Held in collaboration with The Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA), Form & Function is co-located with designEX, Australia’s premier design forum, and the RAIA’s annual national conference.
The 2006 combined events attracted a record breaking 22,661* qualified trade visitors over three days with Form & Function alone attracting a record number 7,553* trade visitors. This surpassed visitor attendance figures at the 2005 inaugural event by 28%.
“The visitor synergy between Form & Function and designEX exceeded expectations with many of the 14,338* designEX visitors taking the opportunity to view products on display at Form & Function,” Fischer said.
Form and Function 2007 continues to be a must-see event in the building and architecture calendar with the event offering the latest products and services for major building projects, bringing together architects, builders, building designers, specifiers, developers and government and industry personnel.
Form & Function continues to be supported by numerous key industry associations including the Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA), the National Precast Concrete Association Australia (NPCAA) and Architecture Media. Media partners include Specifier and BCME magazines.
