Parking Australia is hosting a webinar on car park coatings with the event presented by Flowcrete Australia Managing Director, Sean Tinsley.

Businesses are increasingly focussed on creating the right first impressions, more so when it comes to commercial venues. Usually the first point of contact for visitors, car parks have only recently come to the attention of developers, designers and operators who are now making efforts to improve the quality of the ‘car park experience’.

Waterproofing and surfacing materials are critical within the car park environment to deliver a long-term, structurally protected, well-designed and safe facility for car park operators and vehicle owners.

Sharing his wealth of experience and expertise within the resin flooring industry, Sean will guide viewers through the different factors affecting multi-storey car park facilities while also identifying the benefits and lifecycle implications of deck coating materials.

Webinar attendees are expected to gain greater understanding of the different factors affecting multi-storey car park facilities; identify the benefits and lifecycle implications of deck coating materials; and be able to correctly choose the right coating systems.

The webinar is recommended for property owners, designers, engineers and specifiers who can learn about the technical information regarding coating systems and surface preparation with reference to Australian standards.

Sean’s presentation will have a major focus on understanding the different factors affecting the basement, lower levels, intermediate and exposed decks as well as ramps; identifying the different test methods used to determine application suitability; and the benefits and lifecycle implications of different materials.

Sean has more than 20 years of experience within the resin flooring industry including at Flowcrete facilities in the UK, Middle East, Asia and Australia.

Having introduced Flowcrete's Deckshield car park coating system to the Australian market in 2001, Sean has since consulted on many car park coating installations across Australia, with projects in excess of 10,000 car park bays.

The car park coatings webinar is recommended for car park facility managers, car park designers, car park engineers and car park specifiers seeking more information about car park coatings.

Registrations for the event can be completed online.

To begin at 10am AEST on Thursday 16th July, the one-hour car park coatings webinar titled ‘Car Park Decking: Protection, Strength and Aesthetics’, is free for Parking Australia members and costs $30.00 for non-members.
