Fisher & Paykel is set to venture into the outdoor cooking market with its new barbecue range. The stunning “heirloom grills” will launch early next year under the DCS by Fisher & Paykel brand. Fisher & Paykel acquired the Huntington Beach, Californian-based DCS (or Dynamic Cooking Systems) brand more than 10 years ago.

The American-designed, stainless steel barbecues were revealed for the first time at the Good Food & Wine Show, and they will be available in a range of grill sizes from 92cm through to a massive 122cm, incorporating a full complement of cooking features for serious entertainers.

The barbecues can be built into benches or used as freestanding units with a matching trolley. Fisher & Paykel also offers a range of optional extras, such as an additional burner for cooking on the side.

Peter Russell, Fisher & Paykel General Manager - Marketing, explained that the new barbeque range offers the potential to realise a true outdoor kitchen, which makes it even easier to customise an outdoor space for easy entertaining.

“Australians have always enjoyed the traditional ‘barbie’, but more recently, we have seen outdoor entertaining lifted to an entirely new level as homeowners have upgraded their outdoor spaces to the same standard as the inside of their house. Essentially Australian’s backyards have become their new dining rooms,” says Peter Russell.

“That in turn means consumers, more than ever, recognise the value of investing in a quality barbecue that will stand the test of time,” says Russell.

He continued to explain that the new Fisher & Paykel barbecues are manufactured from heavy duty marine grade brushed stainless steel and are built to last. They also incorporate a host of features designed to enhance cooking functions and performance.

The barbeque range also features an advanced grilling system, combining the latest grilling technology and innovation to deliver the ultimate in outdoor cooking.

Features include designer metal control knobs and multiple independent stainless steel burners, and the unique DCS Grease Management System keeps oil and grease away from the grill, avoiding flare ups.

The DCS range also uses Ceramic Radiant technology to distribute heat evenly and a ‘sear’ setting to achieve restaurant quality searing on steaks, fish and other foods. Other dishes can be cooked simultaneously on side burners, while a heavy duty rotisserie is capable of cooking over 20kgs perfectly.
