Shadowline 305 cladding from Fielders Steel Roofing was specified for the walls and façade of the South Australian Drill Core Reference Library. Located within Adelaide’s newly revitalised Tonsley Precinct, the $32.2 million South Australian Drill Core Reference Library was designed by Thomson Rossi Architects to bring together more than 7.5 million metres of drill core material, previously held at four different libraries spread across the state. The project was completed in early 2016.

Fielders was commissioned by the builder Hansen Yuncken during the construction phase of the project to supply 2,500m² of Shadowline 305 profile in COLORBOND Monument for walling and façade applications. Fielders’ Shadowline 305 profile was chosen by the architects for its sleek and stylish modern look, with the cladding panels complementing the strategy set out for the site as per the Tonsley Urban Design Guidelines.

Shadowline 305 walling panels were also used as internal soffit lining in the ceiling. The material was delivered to the site and applied to the exterior and interior of the building by roofing contractor Cladding and Roofing over the course of the five-month installation period.

Fielders’ Finesse collection consists of five versatile profiles, each one designed to bring a high end look to the roof and walls of projects across Australia. Consisting of Interlocking Panel, Nailstrip, Shadowline 305, Neo Roman and Millennium, each façade profile has a unique aesthetic appeal that adds the perfect finishing touch to commercial and residential buildings alike.

Easy to design, easy to install and a cost effective solution, Finesse has earned its reputation as one of Australia’s leading exterior cladding products that can be tailored to any project requirement.
