Vitracore G2, a non-combustible cladding panel by Fairview was used to replace the damaged pebblecrete on the façade of the 44-level Northpoint Tower in North Sydney CBD. The redevelopment of the North Sydney retail and leisure offering included a newly-constructed hotel as well as a complete overhaul of the façade using Vitracore G2.

The Northpoint Tower, which was built in 1975, was showing signs of damage on its fascia, raising safety concerns for visitors – the existing pebblecrete façade displayed spalling and degradation. The building owners decided to refurbish the iconic mixed use building inside and out at a project value of $15 million.

The façade work involved the complete removal of the damaged pebblecrete and replacement with 22,000 square metres of Vitracore G2 in Silver Ice Metallic and Asteroid Pearl Metallic. Vitracore G2 is Fairview’s leading DtS, deemed non-combustible aluminium cladding panel tested to AS1530.1 in accordance with the BCA, adding safety, durability, longevity and a modern look and feel to the development.

If you are looking to replace the cladding on your building to address non-compliance or degradation issues, consult with the Fairview team for a start-to-finish recladding solution.
