Fabritecture  designed and installed a permanent tensioned fabric roof at the Kings Park for the recently held CHOGM event in Perth.

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, commonly known as CHOGM was recently held in Perth, Western Australia where members from 53 nations gathered together to discuss global and Commonwealth issues.

The event was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre with a leader’s retreat located in the scenic and tranquil Kings Park. Facilities at Kings Park were upgraded for the occasion and Fabritecture was selected to provide a permanent high‐quality tensioned fabric roof for the newly opened state reception centre located above the award‐winning Frasers Restaurant.

Fabritecture designed and supplied a 427m² custom barrel vault roofing structure with structural steel and a 3-coat paint system. Ferrari 1002T2 fabric with premium T2 fabric coating was used for the roofing structure. The pure PVDF coating offers greater resistance to pollution and dirt, requiring less maintenance and cleaning in the long-term.

Fabritecture selected premium materials and an excellent design to ensure an anticipated design life of 25+ years for the structure.
