Now available from Era Polymers , Erapol E83A and Erapol E95A hot castable polyurethane has recently been used to provide both flexibility and strength in the manufacture of haul truck steps.
Traditionally haul truck steps have steel internals with some chain or bar inside. This means that when they are dented or bent by a driver they may not return to their original shape.
The use of Era Polymers Erapol E83A hot castable polyurethane to manufacture strong haul truck steps means these steps are now flexible and withstand impact when they receive weight.
The rungs on these haul truck steps were made from Erapol E95A, as they required less flexibility but needed to be strong to take a driver's weight. The mounting points on these rungs are steel bushed and represent the only other material in the whole job.
