Enware Australia  have released a new slimline Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) to provide upgraded performance in the delivery of controlled-temperature warm water for healthcare, aged care, schools and all high risk applications.

The Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve delivers improved performance. The new design incorporates revised internal components, resulting in fewer parts and vastly improved service intervals, extended from the present one to five years (the same as Enware Australia’s Aquablend 1000 and 1500 models).

The internal structure of the Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve has been simplified through design from a complex brass cartridge component, originally constructed from multiple parts resulting in a streamlined body design.

The new design recognises that temperature control of heated water is an important safety issue for domestic, commercial, health, hospitality and industry facilities alike. If exposed to heated water above 60°C, it can take as little as one second for a child to receive third degree burns and require hospitalisation. Injuries and liabilities can be as severe for workers, guests, patients and elderly people.

The Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve is certified to AS/NZS4032.1 2005 providing Australia’s compliant solution to meet the demands of AS/NZS 3500 for heated water temperature control.

The Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve safely delivers to + or -2°C under varying temperature and pressure conditions. Safety from scalding and shock is ensured by the thermal shut-off capabilities in the event of cold or hot water supply failure.

The Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve has flow rates of 38L per minute. The thermostatic mixing valve is suitable for multiple or single fixture outlets and has optional male and female inlets to enhance installation. The Aquablend 2000 thermostatic mixing valve is suitable for installation where young children, elderly or disabled people use the showers, baths, basins and sinks.

Enware Australia also provide the Smart Flow TMV Monitoring System as a risk management tool for the performance and maintenance of Aquablend TMVs. The networked system constantly monitors the Aquablend TMVs electronically, through a calibrated temperature probe installed into the TMV. The Smart Flow TMV Monitoring System provides engineering personnel with a constant temperature readout and performance status report of all TMVs throughout the facility.
