A new timber deck area in Angel Place, Sydney called for high-strength light-weight deck supports that didn’t penetrate the existing waterproof membrane.

The solution was VersiJack from Elmich , providing stable support for the rooftop recreational area.

VersiJack supports were able to be placed directly on the waterproof membrane.

Timber joists were screwed to the VersiJack batten supports, which were then screwed onto the VersiJack units and adjusted to incorporate any warping of the timber.

To ensure maximum stability of the structure, locking rings were placed on each unit and then screwed down, along with the joists being anchored into the wall edges.

Quick installation of each VersiJack unit offered considerable savings over alternative brick and metal piers.

VersiJack units are not mechanically fastened therefore do not penetrate or damage waterproof membranes unlike brick piers, and do not rust like metal ones.
