A range of pedestals from Elmich Australia in varying heights was installed on the roof terrace of an office building in Brisbane to provide a new appealing surface without investing in a major renovation.

A key objective of the project was to revive the tired roof terrace by creating a new level floor. Elmich’s pedestals of varying heights from the SpiraPave, VersiPave and VersiJack ranges were installed on the roof terrace to accommodate numerous falls and step downs.

SpiraPave’s very low height pedestals were installed under decking tiles, providing a new appealing surface while still maintaining access to drainage outlets for routine maintenance.

By using Elmich pedestals of varying heights including VersiPave and VersiJack for the raised flooring, the designers were able to achieve equal internal and external levels, creating an accessible outdoor space and transforming the previously tired, rarely used terrace into an attractive amenity area for employees.

The project team included NRA (architect), Quadric (contractor) and Elmich’s QLD agent Brad Walker Agencies.

Elmich pedestals are ideal for raised flooring applications on roof terraces, pedestrian walkways, roof gardens, plaza decks, balconies, pool surrounds, reflective pools, temporary exhibition floors and patios among many others.
