Elevated Safety Systems has replaced sewer pump lids and valve lids with lightweight aluminium checker plate lids. The heavy Gatic lids have been replaced with aluminium lids, which have a rubber seal for odour control on sewer pump pits.
Lightweight aluminium grating has been installed under the lids to provide fall protection when the main lid is open. The grating is strong enough to carry the weight of people. It is also hinged and can be easily lifted out, providing flexibility for service requirements.
