Used as a substrate, the light weight factor makes the Poplar Multiply from Eco-Core suitable for high quality joinery, furniture, ceiling bulkheads, luxury yacht interiors, and the construction of caravans.

Italian Poplar plywood is renowned for its flexibility, light weight, and its natural light colour. An irreplaceable product in many uses, more economic materials have shown that in the long run they are unable to guarantee the durability and strength of poplar plywood.

The Eco-Core Poplar Multiply is manufactured using Poplar logs from the northern part of Italy and southern part of France with an E1 rating for formaldehyde emission reduction.

Poplar Multiply is available with a I/II Poplar face, but can also be ordered with MDF, particleboard, melamine or high pressure laminate faces with additional special order options.

The Eco-Core Poplar Multiply is offered in the following sheet sizes:

  • 2520mm x 1850mm x 18 & 25mm thick.
  • With White High Pressure Laminates on 2 sides in 3050mm x 1300mm x 18mm.
The boards are very light in weight - 350 to 380 kg/m3 depending on thickness. Used as a substrate material suitable for re-veneering or laminating it is not recommended for the application of a clear lacquer or paint finish directly on the faces.
