East Coast Shade Design recently completed a job at a historic house at Mt Errington. Perched on around half an acre, the location is the highest point in Sydney.

East Coast says the project was a fascinating one as the owners were restoring a heritage building (Belmont circa 1898) and transforming it into a childcare centre while maintaining and highlighting the original glory of the building.

Adding modern shade sails to the site was always going to be a design challenge. There was a team involved to ensure the right outcome including the architects and colour consultants.

The end result was described as amazing and the shade sails were said to blend very well with the surroundings.
