The Intergrain Timber Vision Awards 2011 enters the final phase with voting for the People’s Choice Award set to open on 11 July. The People’s Choice Award gives the architecture and design industry as well as the Australian public a chance to recognise and reward the most inspiring projects.    

Launched at designEX 2011, Intergrain Timber Vision Awards 2011 has attracted entries from several architects, landscapers and designers across the country, showcasing their innovative use of timber in residential and commercial design projects.    

In addition to the People’s Choice Award, categories in this year’s Awards also include Residential Interiors, Residential Exteriors, Commercial Interiors, Commercial Exteriors and the inaugural ‘Young Architects’ category to be judged by an esteemed panel including Nigel Bertram of NMBW, Susi Leeton of Susi Leeton Architects and Jason Anderson from the Dulux Group.    

Voting for the inaugural People’s Choice Award can be done on the Intergrain website between Monday 11 July 2011 and Sunday 31 July 2011. Voters can view all the submitted entries and rate them according to preference.    

The project with the highest rating will be the winner of the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced Monday 15 August 2011.      

Intergrain Brand Manager, Stuart McCausland says that the awards aim to celebrate those professionals who step outside the box to inspire with creative timber design. He adds that the calibre of this year’s entries is extremely high, ranging from modern inner city homes to expansive commercial buildings.    

Apart from the unique opportunity to showcase their work in front of a prestigious industry audience, the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards winners also receive cash prizes, editorials in industry magazines and Intergrain products.
