MAKE Architecture has recently refurbished ad agency JWT’s old Rosella factory office, creating a sustainable space with industrial styling.

This dualistic design theme is most obvious in the material choices within the fit-out, with the majority of the project’s products selected to complement the existing warehouse’s industrial feel and to minimise the projects impact during construction and throughout its life.

The material and colour selection that makes up the large curved wall wrapping the presentation room portrays this design mantra most apparently. Over 200 recycled timber battens covered in 18 different Dulux paints vertically align the curved wall to create a feature and a colour scheme that runs throughout the office.

The curved wall can be animated and with colours ranging from pinks and purples, to blues and greens the angled battens are a reference point in the office layout.

Wash and Wear – Low Sheen paints by Dulux include Velvet Rose, Tibetan Silk, Domino, Dandelion Yellow, Blue Antarctic, Red Stop, Spring Onion and Tingle. The Dulux Powdercoat Duralloy is in White Satin and Monument finishes.

Dulux Wash & WearLow Sheen comes with hard wearing, stain and mark resistant barrier technology. It has exceptional washability and provides a super tough, acrylic finish.

Common marks, stains and scuffs can be easily wiped away with a wet cloth and it’s specially formulated to not leave shiny marks after wiping, so your walls will always look their best.

Being a low VOC paint, it emits almost no smell and less air pollution compared to paints with higher VOCs so it’s kinder to the environment and your family.
