Dulux Australia has introduced new colour content in the ArchiCAD platform, saving time for users while assisting with creativity and documentation. ArchiCAD is an important authoring platform for Building Information Modelling (BIM) and computer aided design.

Introduced as part of Dulux BIM Solutions, the new feature will enable designers and specifiers to quickly and simply integrate over 4900 free Dulux colour files from Dulux’s World of Colour Atlas into ArchiCAD projects. Access to this new colour data is expected to save data entry time, generate quality documentation and allow Dulux colours to be saved, painted and scheduled easily.

Downloadable from dulux.com.au/BIM into ArchiCAD projects, the new Dulux colours are available as individual colours or colour groups. Alternatively, in conjunction with GRAPHISOFT Australia, Dulux has also provided the colour data as a Dulux Library Container file, which can be easily loaded to ArchiCAD 19, the latest version of ArchiCAD. The content can be integrated directly to element and object surfaces in ArchiCAD 19’s 2D and 3D windows, using the Surface Painter feature in this software.

Dulux Australia National Specifications Manager, Mathew Henson described the introduction of the new colour options as representative of Dulux BIM Solutions’ commitment to creating useful and innovative solutions for users. He explained that the easy-to-use colour data will integrate seamlessly with projects, assisting with colour creativity and documentation.

The new Dulux colour options have already received positive feedback from users, including Colin Dibb from Webber Architects (WA), who agrees that the colour update is already saving them time and providing an edge in quality documentation.

Dulux BIM Solutions provides easy-to-use BIM content and plugins, allowing the new Dulux colour options to be added to Revit and ArchiCAD models quickly and simply.
