Western Sydney was the location for the most recent Doric and Cowdroy Showcase Night, where the latest in door and window hardware met with the fastest on land and water vehicles.

Doric and Cowdroy are part of the Alchin Long Group and the head office in Wetherill Park was transformed to accommodate the guests who had travelled from all over Sydney to check out some of the best products from ALG’s family of brands including the latest chainwinders, seals, handles, tracks and more.

ALG staff members were on hand to field questions from the diverse and inquisitive group that included builders, architects, retailers and anyone else looking to stay ahead of the game in the B&A sector.

In addition to the products being showcased, guests were shown some examples of the intense research, development and testing that go into creating some of the world’s best door and window products. These included demonstrations of their state-of-the-art cycle testing, as well as the 3D printing abilities, with a couple of visitors even taking home a souvenir chainwinder ‘fresh’ from the 3D printer.

Following the 3D printing was one of the most memorable and certainly the loudest event of the evening. Azuma’s testing facility was the place to be as Director Mike Alchin showed off the company’s impact testing system in action.

Once everyone had regained their hearing, ALG’s National Marketing Manager David Scoones took to the mic to discuss the incredible growth of the company over the past 40 years thanks to the support of their loyal customer base, and how a commitment to research and development, as well as customer satisfaction will further pave the way for ALG to continue to grow for the next 40 years.

It was then time for the big boys with the big toys to step up. With ALG being proud supporters of Australian motorsports, reflected by the ongoing commitment to Doric and Cowdroy Racing, V8 Supercar drivers Will Davison (Doric’s ambassador) and Ash Walsh (Cowdroy Ambassador), as well as F2 Powerboat Champion Corey Davoll spoke about their world travels, and their highlights from the recent V8 season.

As people finished up their drinks and fantastic prizes were given out, including a brand new TV and V8 hot laps, another great ALG Showcase Night had come to an end.

ALG Showcase Nights happen all around Australia, so be sure to keep an eye out so you can attend when it comes through your city. An ALG Showcase Night is not only a unique insight into one of Australia’s leading companies and the products they produce, but also a genuinely fun night out.
