Expensive investments in top level filtration technology can be maximised by strategic use of appropriate pre-filter material released by Donaldson Australasia .

Pre-filters - both wraps and panels - have the job of extending the life of a primary filter by capturing larger particulate, such as seeds, leaves, airborne fibres, etc.

This technology is made from low-cost, relatively low efficiency materials, and designed to be changed more often than primary filters, then responsibly disposed.

Various technologies provide a choice for different solution requirements:

Pre-filter wraps

Donaldson Australasia’s pre-filter wrap is a high loft media; meaning it has quite a bit of air space between the fibres throughout the depth of the media mat.

This enables good airflow through the wrap even after it has captured much particulate.

Pre-filter panels

Pre-filter panels manufactured by Donaldson Australasia are made of longer, rather coarse fibres, packed more densely than the wrap media.

The higher packing density enables good pleating, good efficiency on larger particulate, and strength.

Heavy-duty mist eliminator

This sturdy metal-frame pre-filter with metal mesh media separates moisture from the incoming airstream – before it can damage primary filters. It is designed so that coalesced water simply runs off.

Reusable frame with economical inserts

This economical pre-filter offers a choice of media types inside a reusable 600mm x 600mm plastic frame, either 50mm or 100mm deep.
