The leaders of design and building have come together today at DesignBUILD in Melbourne to share thoughts, ideas and new product information to create better, greener, smarter commercial and residential buildings.

More than 350 exhibitors are participating in the 2010 DesignBUILD exhibition at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, starting today and closing at 5pm on Friday 25th June. With such a large number of exhibitors there is no shortage of inspiration for everyone involved in the building, design and construction industries.

While there are trade orientated tools on display in Tools of the Trade, and practical information available to trades in the Applications in Action area, the industry is also enjoying the exposure to various consumer orientated products.

Blackwoods, CAT Group, Ridge Tools, Simpson Strongtie and others are set to perform live product demonstrations throughout the three day DesignBUILD exhibition.

Those attending DesignBUILD are likely to leave armed with the latest information to grow their business and better service clients.

Steve Horsley, Exhibition Manager, explained that the line up of exhibitors had exceeded expectations, with the level of quality and inspiration of exhibitors creating a new level of energy in the industry.

“Attendance at DesignBUILD is so far very solid and we’re expecting over 10,000 industry trades and professionals to make their way through the expo as the industry seeks to collaborate to provide better outcomes for our environment and for customers,” he said.

DesignBUILD also features a selection of scheduled seminars presented by more than 25 educated and experienced speakers.
