On the 16th August 2006, The Hon. E.G. Whitlam AC QC (Gough Whitlam) launched Cumberland Grove which is to be turned into a multi million dollar soccer training complex for the children of south western Sydney in Australia.

Through the generosity of Sydney businessman Mr. Edmond M. Parilo and Mr. Whitlam's close friend and coach of the 1974 Socceroo team, Rale Rasic OAM, the complex will now be the home to:

- Southern Districts Soccer Football Association Headquarters

- The Inaugural Australian Football Museum
