The new CSR Gyprock Commercial Installation Guide provides architects, designers, builders and contractors a conclusive reference document to satisfy specific design and installation requirements for Gyprock systems in the commercial building sector.

CSR Gyprock’s Commercial Installation Guide is a comprehensive collection of installation details to support Gyprock systems in commercial environments. Building professionals were previously using two separate Gyprock installation guides, Steel Frame Wall Systems and Ceiling Systems to support their work in addition to referring to the Residential Installation Guide wherever shared processes were applicable.

The new Gyprock guide integrates the existing two manuals and offers a single primary reference manual for all commercial installations.

Developed by CSR Gyprock DesignLINK Manager and Architect Angus Kell, the new Commercial Installation Guide provides detailed installation and maintenance information for the fixing and jointing of the full range of Gyprock plasterboards in commercial construction, including walls, ceilings, columns, beams and wet area applications. Inspection procedures are also detailed throughout the manual.

Professionals in the commercial sector of the plastering industry now have a universal go-to manual that provides clear information. Kell observes that architects, designers, builders and contractors can refer to one manual and agree on levels of finish and the correct way to inspect the quality of work.

Based on Gyprock’s expertise in the internal lining industry, the commercial manual includes new penetration details such as a fire-assessed solution for successfully installing fire rated plasterboard around existing services; expanded information on glancing light, with an in-depth analysis on how to inspect these situations; and additional details on partition and system maintenance.

Industry professionals may still need to rely on system specific guides as well as the Gyprock Red Book for fire and acoustic guidelines; however, the majority of commercial installations can be handled through the new manual.
