Ever Art Wood Express cladding panels from Covet International were seamlessly wrapped around the curved exterior of the Parc Vue apartment building in Bundoora, Victoria to provide a unique timber-look facade.

The Parc Vue multi-residential apartment complex features a fluid architectural design that blends the built and natural environments. The curved look of the exterior softens the building, while the natural timber look panelling encasing the facade makes the structure meld into the surrounding landscape.

Covet’s Ever Art Wood Express aluminium cladding panels met the design objectives of the architect for the undulating facade. Lightweight, sturdy, flexible and easy to install, the panels were pre-fabricated with a 200mm face and 10mm express joint, which concealed all fixings to create a seamless appearance.

The non-combustible, timber-look aluminium in Wuoro Nato and Kuri Masame panels had a custom texture applied to mimic the matte tones and texture of real wood. The photorealistic finish on the panels led to Ever Art Wood’s selection for the interior of the apartment complex within the lift lobbies.

Ever Art Wood is virtually maintenance-free, and will not warp and fade over time. It is suitable for both external and internal applications.

Ever Art Wood products installed at Parc Vue included Express Cladding (200mm face with 10mm express joint); Kabebari Battens (30x50); Mokuzai Panels (0.8x1200x2500); and Kuri Masame and custom textured Wuoro Nato.

Ever Art Wood panels performed well when tested to AS/NZ 1530.3 (spread of flame/ index 0) and AS/NZ 3837-1998 (result/ Group 1).
