Ruiwen Kong has recently joined the Brisbane office of Cement Concrete and Aggregates Australia (CCAA) as Construction Solutions Engineer for the Queensland market.

Ruiwen Kong will work on the ground with local architects, designers, engineers and builders to assist them in maximising their opportunities for using concrete.

Ruiwen Kong has an extensive background in construction materials research and development, as well as production, sales and marketing experience.

She joined CCAA from SIKA, where she was employed as a Brisbane-based technical representative and holds a Bachelor degree in Materials Engineering, as well as a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (Concrete Technology) from the National University of Singapore.

Ruiwen Kong is part of CCAA’s National Construction Solutions team, which has engineers in each mainland state to support local construction, engineering and architectural professionals who work with concrete.

Ruiwen Kong said that she is looking forward to apply her experience, particularly in materials engineering, to help Queensland design and construction professionals choose the suitable concrete solutions for their specific applications.

Ruiwen Kong joins Manager Tom Glasby (also based in Brisbane), interstate colleagues Komal Krishna in Melbourne, Harry Backes in Perth, John Nichols in Sydney and Con Tsemtsidis in Adelaide to complete CCAA’s National Construction Solutions team.
