Steve Gerendas has created a striking retail / salon environment using Corian from CASF Australia in the Oscar Synergy Flagship Sydney.
Located in Paddington’s Oxford Street, the salon is the newest addition to a chain of luxury salons by Oscar Cullinan.
When asked what Gerendas wanted to achieve with this space he says he “wanted the store to look new every time you walked in”.
By using Corian on the frames, shelving, reception, joinery, bathroom vanity, ceiling, and walls with a backlit display, the luxury salon is “Durable, cleanable, and non-staining with dying ink spillage” says Gerendas.
The softness of Corian also creates an ambiance to the salon.
The Corian blends well with other materials used such as the laminated floors in a brown palette, and a unique feather chandelier over the reception area.
Gerendas has created a space that provides a calming and pampered surrounding for clients to enjoy being in.
The mix of surfaces and materials also create a bright and luxurious design reflects the high quality of the salon. Gerendas was also awarded a Corian Design Award for this project in 2006.
