Britton Timbers has played a major role in the floor renovation projects at two major sports stadiums in Melbourne.

The two signature projects were executed by flooring specialists Rutty & Breacher of Watsonia, Melbourne and included the Dandenong Rangers Sports Stadium Show Court and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre at Albert Park.

Britton's Tasmanian Oak (Messmate) was used in both projects to meet the requirements for top class finishing and the most hard-wearing surface available in the market.

Managing Director Ken Breacher recalled that his company had laid the original Dandenong Stadium floor in 1982, and was called in to update it about three years ago. Ken adds that they used a different method for the impressive Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre Show Court, installing a new oak floor over the top of the old surface. The court had withstood heavy equipment over a long period of time, and laying a new floor over the existing one was a practical and cost-effective solution.

Rutty & Breacher has partnered with Britton Timbers on a number of significant projects including the Whyalla Basketball Stadium where three courts were repaired.
