The new Bristile Roofing architecture competition will offer one lucky
winner a trip of a lifetime to attend the 2016 Venice Biennale in Italy. The
competition reinforces Bristile Roofing’s ongoing commitment to building
innovation and architectural excellence, and is open to Australian architects
Established in 1895, the Venice Biennale is one of the oldest and
largest celebrations of art, architecture, and design in the world with over
440,000 people visiting the event over six months from May to November. Held
every two years, it is considered one of the most prestigious events on the
international contemporary arts calendar.
The lucky winner will join many of the world's leading architects and
building design professionals at the event, which showcases the best
architecture from 29 countries, with a national pavilion for each country.
To enter the competition, participants need to submit photographs of a
project featuring products from one of the stunning ranges in Bristile Roofing’s
La Escandella Ceramica collection of terracotta roof tiles.
The winner of the competition will win a 14-day trip valued at over
$6,000. In addition, a $4,000 bonus prize will be awarded if the winning entry
uses products from Austral Bricks and an additional $4,000 bonus will be
awarded if the winning entry uses products from Austral Masonry.
Entries close on 22 November 2015 and can be submitted via the Bristile
Roofing and La Escandella Ceramica websites. The submitted projects must be
located in Australia and completed before the end of the competition. The
winner will be chosen by the Bristile Roofing judging panel, which will be
