Brintons Carpets supplied 40,000 square metres of Axminster carpets to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India.

Commonly known as T2, the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) features a new integrated terminal that opened for international operations in February 2014. CSIA is capable of handling 40 million passengers and 1 million metric tonnes of cargo annually.

The T2 incorporates a monolithic but warm, open and light-filled check-in hall, featuring 188 check-in counters, all sheltered underneath the 11-acre long-span roof, supported by an array of 30 mushrooming multi-storey mega-columns. The T2 also accommodates 60 immigration counters, 124 security check positions, 41 travellators, 47 escalators and 73 elevators. The airport also houses ‘Jaya He’, India's largest art museum showcasing over 6500 artefacts and artworks of several artists.

Brintons supplied their carpets for the airport’s arrival corridors and fixed bridge areas. Brintons was chosen based on their credentials of having exclusively supplied their carpets to many international airports worldwide.

Brintons’ carpets installed at the T2 feature an impressive carpet design in colours that enhance and magnify the grand structure.
