Brintons Carpets is celebrating 50 years of its iconic Bell Twist series
of carpets this year.
The original palette of 10 colours has increased, over the last five
decades, to a collection of 50 colours, including on-trend shades of greys,
reds, blues and neutrals.
Two standout advertising campaigns for the Bell Twist series over the
years include the Vivienne Westwood campaign of 1993 where she transformed the carpets
into iconic dresses; and ‘The Most Luxurious Carpets in the World’ promotion of
2003 when renowned shoe designer Manolo Blahnik collaborated with Brintons.
Bell Twist’s unique depth and texture have always helped the carpet recover
from the rigours of everyday life. The Bell Twist series is made using strong
wool-rich yarn to create a permanent twist, making the carpet a practical
