Breezway uses high quality toughened glass blades in its high performance Altair louvre windows. This ensures that the louvre window systems with Breezway glass blades will perform to their maximum potential.

Similar to how the various components of high-end home theatre systems will all be of high quality to maintain consistent performance, Breezway ensures that every component of its Altair louvre windows are made to high quality levels for uncompromising performance.

A little known fact about toughened glass is that the high temperatures involved in the process of toughening glass can transform glass that is incredibly flat into glass with visible bowing or waves. Louvre windows rely on glass blades making good contact with each other to seal the window against wind and rain; toughened glass louvre blades that are not incredibly flat will create openings between louvre blades through which water and air will leak.

To avoid this, Breezway takes care of its glass blade toughening in-house. Quality tests are conducted every hour to ensure that all toughened glass blades are within Breezway’s flatness allowance of 0.35mm of bow per metre of glass. This ensures that Altair louvre window systems with Breezway glass blades will perform to their maximum potential.
