Breezway louvre windows were installed in a renovated home in Oahu, Hawaii for better ventilation as well as to capture cooling trade winds from all directions.

Originally a modern classic 1960s American ranch style home, the residence was transformed into a contemporary Japanese inspired Zen home by general contractor Alan Shintani Inc. Designed by architects Fung Associates Inc, the beautiful home renovation won the AIA Honolulu Editor’s Choice Design Award in 2013.

Breezway louvre windows with tinted glass and standard handles were installed in the laundry room to facilitate quick ventilation of the wet room and prevent potential build-up of mould or mildew.

Additionally, Breezway louvres were installed in the bedroom in different configurations to allow cooling trade winds to be captured from all directions, keeping the home comfortable for the residents throughout the day.
