Interior design firm Indah Island recently completed the renovation and rebuild of an old farmhouse in Toodyay, WA, transforming it into a stunning Hamptons-style house. Toodyay is a rural township located an hour north-east of Perth.

Founded by interior designer and media personality Natalee Bowen, Indah Island specialises in the 'Hamptons style' of home design. The construction was managed by her husband Mark Bowen, whose fifth-generation grandfather had built the original farmhouse in the 1860s. The house, which had been in his family ever since, was acquired by the Bowens when the opportunity arose to purchase the property.

Though the initial plan was to fix up the original farmhouse and keep it as a weekend getaway for their family, they found that parts of the homestead were in derelict shape. The renovation involved salvaging what they could of the main section of the home and adding on two new wings on either side of the original building.

The stunning farmhouse features a COLORBOND® steel roof in the colour Surfmist Matt. Natalee explained that they chose COLORBOND® steel Surfmist Matt as it beautifully offset the gorgeous Hamptons style home, making it very soft, and very palatable for the countryside.

The construction of the Hamptons farmhouse is now complete. The home will be used to host events for clients and builders, and also be a place for the family to come together.
