Bildspec Distributors was engaged by Warner Music to supply and install operable walls at their new head office in Pyrmont, Sydney.
One of the largest record labels in the global music industry, Warner Music sought the movable walls to be able to easily reconfigure the room, which would allow them to create a flexible, modern and open space that could be used as an informal staff relaxation area – away from their busy open plan work area.
Additionally, the stylish and functional operable walls would enable them, when required, to create a performance space for live bands coinciding with soft launches of new albums or showcasing new musical talent.
It was imperative that the performance and aesthetics of Bildspec’s product supported Warner Music’s culture and image.
High acoustic performance was an important part of the design brief. Retractable bottom seals were utilised to overcome reverberation issues caused by the new polished concrete floors. In terms of aesthetics, the walls needed to appeal to a young, artistic, high-functioning demographic.
Bildspec supplied a high-acoustic functioning product with the operable walls successfully minimising the transfer of sound between relevant spaces, thereby, totally transforming the work area.
